Who is responsible

Jooobb! operates the cv-builder service at jooobb.com. The data controller is the operator of Jooobb!. For privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at login@jooobb.com.

Data we collect

We process account data (such as your email address), profile and CV content you enter or upload, job application and job-search data, optional phone number, usage data needed to run the service, and technical data such as browser type and IP address in server logs.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide and improve Jooobb!, authenticate you, generate and store CVs and cover letters, run optional AI-assisted features you request, send transactional emails (such as login codes), and keep the service secure.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for); our legitimate interests in operating a secure CV platform and preventing abuse; your consent when you enable optional features such as AI analysis or public sharing; and legal obligations we must meet.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as language and your active profile. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. See the cookie inventory below and open cookie settings at any time.

Cookie inventory

cv_builder_session — essential session cookie that keeps you signed in (session). cv-builder-locale — essential cookie that remembers your language (up to 1 year). cv-builder-profile-slug — essential cookie that remembers your active profile (up to 1 year). cv-builder-cookie-consent — stores your cookie preference (up to 1 year). We also use local storage for the same preferences when cookies are unavailable.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with infrastructure and service providers that help us run Jooobb!, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Sub-processors

Our main sub-processors include: AWS (hosting and storage, EU/CH regions where configured); Resend (transactional email delivery); OpenAI (optional AI features you trigger, such as document analysis and text generation); Google Fonts (font delivery when rendering CVs in the browser or PDF pipeline). We choose providers with appropriate security measures and data-processing terms.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area (for example OpenAI or Google in the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by the provider.

Automated processing and AI

When you use optional AI features, we send relevant content you provide (such as CV text, uploaded documents, or job descriptions) to AI providers to generate suggestions or analysis. These outputs assist you in preparing application materials. Jooobb! does not make automated hiring decisions about you.

Public sharing

If you enable public CV or online CV links, anyone with the link (and password if you set one) can access the shared content. You control whether sharing is enabled and can disable it at any time.

Retention

We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. You can delete individual content in the app or delete your entire account from account settings. Limited server logs and backups may be retained for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance for a short period before deletion.

Security

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the data we process, including encrypted transport, access controls, and isolated production infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You can download your data or delete your account from account settings, or email login@jooobb.com for help.

Complaints to a supervisory authority

If you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In the EEA, you may contact the authority in your country of residence.

Children

Jooobb! is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
